Jvonne Foster is the President of Milady Construction, a General Contracting and Construction Management firm. With a robust career spanning over two decades as a Union carpenter, Jvonne has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill, resilience, and leadership in the Construction industry.

Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, Jvonne resides in her vibrant community, deeply rooted in its culture and committed to its growth. Her journey into Construction began in 2003 as a Union Carpenter, where she honed her skills in Carpentry and Concrete, developing an unyielding work ethic. However, the 2007 recession presented significant challenges as she faced numerous job rejections. Determined to turn these setbacks into opportunities, Jvonne knew she wanted to start her own company, driven by a vision of change and inclusion.

The name “Milady” Construction is a heartfelt nod to a cherished childhood memory of a cartoon featuring a horse with the same namesake, who, despite all odds, won the race. This underdog story resonates with Jvonne’s belief in the power of perseverance and overcoming adversity.
Under Jvonne’s leadership, Milady Construction is certified as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE), and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). Jvonne’s passion for breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for underrepresented groups drives her mission to diversify the construction workforce. Through Milady Construction, she actively mentors aspiring professionals and fosters an environment of growth and support.

The first project undertaken by Milady Construction was a meticulous rehabilitation of a three-story gray stone residential building, setting a high standard for quality and excellence. Jvonne’s relentless dedication to her work ensures that every project undertaken by Milady Construction embodies precision, professionalism, and innovation.

Today, Jvonne propels Milady Construction to new heights, she is eager to establish joint ventures with Contractors who share her vision of creating inclusive and sustainable growth in the industry. Phillip Nzegbuna

Mr. Nzegbuna is responsible for reviewing all requests for bids, contractual requirements, specifications and drawings to determine scope of work, proper bidding procedures and required contents of estimate in conjunction with cost, engineering quality, and availability of materials standards. He establishes work breakdown structures, prepares complete quantities & takeoffs, pricing, and bidding of projects. Phillip reviews proposals and construction documents to determine the time frame, funding limitations, staffing requirements, allotment of resources for project phases, and procedures necessary to execute projects. Additionally, he manages the change management process and seeks out continuous improvement options most beneficial to the client.

Phillip is a self-assured, diligent, organized professional seasoned with over 30 years hands-on and management level construction development progressively responsible experience working as an Estimator/ Project Manager. Phillip has been successful at managing tight deadlines, residential and commercial renovations, as well as new ground up developments and finding cost-effective solutions to common and complex construction challenges. He has a record of success overseeing all phases of multimillion- dollar construction/demolition, infrastructure, superfund and environmental/utility projects for government and private sector clients. Phillip also has extensive experience in building relationships with architects, engineers, local officials and clients while achieving high marks in customer satisfaction, cost containment, and completion schedules.
